The Toledo Hospital
To better provide training for schools, ProMedica, in partnership with DYS, is providing an opportunity for school nurses to get training to better serve their students with diabetes. H.A.N.D.S. is a program of NASN and gives school nurses 6.5 CNE credits. An opportunity will be available for attendees to meet with diabetes tech reps and educators to try out and ask questions about diabetes pumps, CGMs and meters. Registration is required. Online registration must be received by, Friday, July 20, 2018. No on-site registration will be available. Confirmation of registration will be sent via e-mail.

Thanks to the generosity of ProMedica, there is no charge for this training.
A track is also available for non-medical school staff. This track is designed to help any school staff member who engages with a child with type 1 diabetes be ready to handle an emergency. All secretaries, teachers, aides, playground/lunch monitors, and bus drivers are encouraged to attend. Please click HERE to register for the non-medical track.
