Dancing with Diabetes: Gabriella Leaps to the Top

Gabriella was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes on February 11, 2024, at 15 years old. Since the age of 3, she has been an active ballet dancer. Gabriella hasn’t let her diagnosis hold her back, but it has made her stronger!

With the support of family, friends, doctors, diabetic educators, DYS, and her dance studio, The Toledo Met, she has soared! She had 5 different roles in the Nutcracker this year, dances about 6 days a week, and has a great future ahead. She is thankful for the technology that has made managing type 1 easier. Armed with her Dexcom G7 and her Tandem Mobi pump, she can do all the things! Gabriella hopes her story will encourage others who are newly diagnosed to continue to pursue their dreams!
