Campers entering grades 7-12 will make friends that they will cherish for a lifetime. There is something for everyone from canoeing, crafts, swimming, a talent show, archery – AND fun diabetes education.

Middle Shots Camp

CANCELED

Middle Shots, grades 3-7, is the campers first taste of resident camp. Middle Shots is a great place for the kids to bond and make friendships that last a lifetime through fun-filled camp activities.

Little Shots Camp

July 13-16, 2020

Introductory experience for children entering kindergarten through grade 4. In addition to games, crafts, and fun activities, our campers learn tools to help them manage their diabetes independently.

Why Hot Shot Camp?

Camp is all about firsts!  We take every opportunity to encourage the kids to try new ways to manage their diabetes. Campers experience a wide variety of fun firsts outside of their diabetes as well –  first time staying away from home, canoeing, archery, or fishing.  Campers will have a blast enjoying all the fun activities camp has to offer and learn strategies for managing diabetes.

DYS has a long history of campers making friends to whom they can relate. Every child living with diabetes has felt alone at some point, but camp is a unique place where they know that they are never alone.

At Hot Shots Camp your child will learn skills, form friendships, and make memories they will cherish for a lifetime!

For information about camp financial support – including payment plans, sponsorships and scholarships – see our Camp Financial Support page.

Be a part of camp!  We need talented and dedicated counselors, medical staff and other volunteers to help make camp happen.  We would love to have you.
