Winter Retreat

Young adults will make valuable connections & support system. Through fun activities, speakers, & open discussions your young adult will learn valuable life lessons from other T1D’s just like themselves.

Big Shots Camp

Campers entering grades 7-12 will make friends that they will cherish for a lifetime. There is something for everyone from canoeing, crafts, swimming, talent show, and archery – AND fun diabetes education.

Middle Shots Camp

Middle Shots, grades 4-7, is the campers first taste of resident camp. Middle Shots is a great place for the kids to bond and make friendships that last a lifetime through fun-filled camp activities.

Little Shots Camp

Introductory experience for children entering kindergarten through grade 4. These young campers will have a fun-filled week making new friends, playing and learning a little about diabetes.

Why Hot Shot Camp?

Camp is all about firsts!  We take every opportunity to encourage the kids to try new ways to manage their diabetes. Campers experience a wide variety of fun firsts outside of their diabetes as well –  first time staying away from home, climbing the alpine tower, archery, or fishing.  They will have a blast enjoying all the fun activities camp has to offer and learn strategies for managing diabetes.

DYS has a long history of campers making friends to whom they can relate. Every child with diabetes has felt alone at some point, but camp is a unique place where they know that they are never alone.

At Hot Shots Camp your child will learn skills, form friendships, and make memories they will cherish for a lifetime!
