Who is DYS?

Diabetes Youth Services (DYS) is an independent non-profit organization that provides educational and supportive services for young people living with type 1 diabetes, their families, schools and communities throughout Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

Help Support DYS Hot Shots Camp!

We have an exciting announcement! We’re running a 30-day campaign with HundredX Causes to bring you a way to create funding for Hot Shots Camp without spending a cent!

Recent DYS Events and Programs

We had a blast at our Sprint Mother’s Retreat at the Maumee Bay Brewing Co! Thanks to all of the awesome moms that came to have fun and support each other! 

Tons of fun on the ice at our Findlay Ice Skating event! It was so nice seeing campers, counselors, and awesome volunteers spend an afternoon with us. This project was funded by a grant from the Walleye Wishing Well Fund of the Greater Toledo Community Foundation. Thank you for your support!

Thank you to the Reynolds Corners Rotary Club for inviting us to speak to their members, and both the Grand Council Benevolent Fund and Wauseon Lions Club for their generous donations to Hot Shots Camp 2023! 

Family Connect is a program intended to provide newly diagnosed families living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) support from a seasoned DYS family who lives in their area. 

Even after camp, the fun doesn’t stop! We offer programs specifically for high school and college age students throughout the year to offer support when they need it the most. 

In order to better serve our families in Findlay and surrounding counties, we have started a small chapter in Findlay, Ohio. Stay tuned for event updates below.
